Primary Guard - Installation
WARNING: For use by individuals trained in the function and operation of a Conducted Energy Device (CED.) Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or death.
*Eye protection required.
*Ensure the CED is pointed in a safe direction at all times.
*Remove CED Cartridge.
*Remove CED Battery.
*Important: Use the prep pad to clean the area where the Primary Guard will be installed. Be sure the area is clean and dry prior to installation.
*Remove the red cover and expose the mounting strip, and then attach the Primary Guard to the front of inner trigger-well. Be sure to install on the user's Primary-side (Gun-hand) Press firmly and hold for 15 seconds.
*For TASER X2, attach the Primary Guard to the front (Upper) inner trigger-well, to ensure proper fit (see example below).
*Primary Guard should be mounted flush with the side of the CED (With no "Top Profile" exposed / See example.)
*Re-Install Battery, Cartridge and perform the CED Manufacturer's specified function test.
*Primary Guard is secured to the CED via a non-permanent and low-profile VHB acrylic mounting strip. Primary Guard mounting strips are waterproof and heat resistant, they provide a durable hold and are removeable without any damage to the CED.
